church readings

church readings

does anyone know what they are having read at the ceremony?? My pastor wants me to pick out readings and I have no clue.

1 - 1st Corinthian, Chapter 13 (it's the chapter on Love)

2 - Touched by an Angel by Maya Angelou (maybe)

I am having two readings and my priest gave me a book with readings so I passed that along to my girls who I told can pick the reading they want.

Do a google search on readings for weddings. It came up with some good ideas and a great starting point. We are probably going to have one religious reading and one poem.

These may be dumb questions but.. we are getting married by a judge that is a friend of the family. Do we still choose readings that we want read?
Also, the readings is what the priest/judge would read right? and the vows are what we read?

We did 1st Corinthian Chapter 13 also...dotn remember the second one that we did.

Readings in a church are usually done by people you choose-we had 2 friends do the readings-the priest doesnt normally do these readings.

As far as the judge Im not sure if they do readings or not

first corintians is the only love reading i can find...all the other 'suggested' readings were kind of weird. I going to do a google search though...thanx
