I basically dislike them all since they all seem sexist to me.

We are probably going to use the Song of Songs verse from the old testament (the one that has 'set me as a seal on your heart...')

and the short form of Ephesians 5:2, 25-32

'husbands love your wives....'

I asked my future sister-in-law the same question and this was her response:

'Almost everyone uses Corinthians (love is patient, love is kind...) There are other ones that aren't from the bible. There is an Apache Blessing that I think is really nice and a lot of people use Kahlil Gibran's The Prophet. You really can google wedding readings and find a ton.'

FH and I sat down to read them all and he pointed this out right away, lol. The majority of the readings sound very sexist.

Just so you know, if you are getting married in a catholic church, odds are you won't be able to use anything for a reading that isn't from the bible.

We were told that we had to pick our readings from the pre-cana book. One Old Testament, one New Testament. If there is another reading from the bible that we would like to use that isn't in the pre-cana booklet, we have to get it approved by the church before they will agree to let us use it.
