I am only having one - does it matter if it is from the new or old testament?

I don't think it matters, or at least it really should be up to the couple to choose their reading. JMO

sorry to crash but just want to check cause we didnt have a mass and we had to pick out 2 readngs,plus a gospel and the prest read the prayer of the faithful

same here. ( except i had my dad do the prayer of faithful.)
i picked provers 31:10-13,19-20,30-31(old)
corinthians 12:31-13:13(new)
mark10:6-9 (gospel)
those are all from that yellow book.
i thought they were nice & short

eta: catholics are christians (believe in christ), but not all christians are catholic
