Church & Reception Time

Church & Reception Time

I had to changed my room at Jericho Terrace but they changed my time too. My church starts at 2:30pm (about 30 minutes) and cocktail is at 7:30pm. Is that too much time in between the church and reception? Thanks

heyy.. my cocktail hour starts at 830 and i booked my church for 3! yes it is alot of time but this is how i see it...

everyone who is important will come to the church n thats al u need.. plus its better that its alot of time so ppl can come in more casual n dnt have to come in gowns n then rush to the reception.. my church is in brooklyn where i live n jt is obviously a good hour drive during rush hour so i dnt anticipate so many ppl making the church..

if u dnt mind seeing fh b4 the wedding u can save time by taking pics b4 the ceremony but i m very supertitious about this

I think its fine.. My ceremony is at 3 and CH is at 7 and to be honest I wish there was more of a time gap.. I am going from commack to nhp and I don't think ill have time to stop somewhere for pictures.. Also, I'm not worried about what people are gonna do in between cause for those who aren't close enough to go back home, they'll prob have a hotel room and can check-in in between

that is interesting since i was told by my bm that the skylight room always starts at 830!! are u sure that ur cocktail hour starts at that time? seems like they just say whatever... so frustrating!!

I was told that my times would change to 7:30 pm to 12:30am. I am going tomorrow so I will let you know. I guess it may depend on what the room is doing before my wedding but who knows lol

My church is at 2:00 and my CH starts at 6:30. It's a lot of time but I wanted it that way so that we could get our pics done - we really want to eat and meet our guests at the CH. I think your time frame is fine!

My ceremony is at 3 and CH is at 6, but my catering hall has a room for early guests to come and have some drinks and a few appetizers. I went to a wedding a few years ago that had about the same time as you between ceremony and CH I lived close to both church and RH so i went to a friends house inbetween and then went to CH. I don't think you will have a problem

My ceremony is at 1:30 and my CH starts at 5.

You're fine. you'll have plenty of time for pics without running around and getting stressed out. its your day.

I dont think so. it will give you plenty of time for pictures and your guests can go home and change
