Hi! Do any of you ladies know when the church schedules our/your rehearsal? I have left numerous messages at mine and even went into the church to try to schedule ours-but a priest wasn't available. We are getting married 3/29, but all of our groomsmen are fireman so I would like to schedule it as soon as possible so they can get time off from work. I would liek to do it the week of our wedding, but I want to make sure the guys know the exact date.
My friends have told me the church didn't call them to schedule it until 1-2 months before-that's crazy!! I need to make sure the guys can get off and book a place. Ridic! LOL

My church actually put my rehearsal on the calendar the day I booked the wedding, which was almost a year and two months beforehand. I do find that it's tough to get a call back from most churches, so I might just keep stopping in if I were you, or maybe try after mass when you know there's a priest around.

Our Priest called me 2 months out and scheduled it. I hadnt even thought of it before that though.. I figured they knew what they were doing...

I booked ours two months ago, it took the deacon a few days to call back but that was because he was really sick. I'd try stopping in again.

Usually it's 2 days before. Like for a Saturday wedding, it would be on a Thursday. That's how it's always been for me. I've attended a few.

We had our third meeting with our Priest last month and he scheduled our rehearsal for the Saturday before our wedding (we are getting married on a Friday) If you know which Priest is officiating your marriage, maybe you can call to set up an appointment with him?

We actually booked our rehearsal date about 14 months before the wedding. We just called the rectory and spoke to the Monsignor's secretary and she gave us a few available days and times and we chose our date and time. We are getting married on a Sunday, and our rehearsal will be on a Thursday night, which is what we wanted. I would suggest calling or trying to get in touch with the priest who is officiating your marriage, and let him know of your situation. Hopefully, they will let you book your date and time.

it depends- my church wanted to make mine the night before at like 8pm and i didn't want that, so we changed it to the day before at noon, and we are going to do a luncheon instead
The priest we met with booked the rehearsal the same day we booked with the church - 1 year and 11 months in advance. I would definitely keep showing your face at the rectory - who cares what they think, you have people who need to put in for the time off!

I am just about 2 years away and we had the option of the week before on a Friday or the night before a Thursday at 6, which is what we chose.

I scheduled mine a few weeks ago which was 6 months out. Almost my entire bridal party is from out of state so I needed to make sure I got the night before my wedding since that's the only day everyone will be in NY!

I actually still don't know but I'm going to have to check on that. I'm pretty sure that they told us the Saturday weddings have the rehearsal on the Thursday before because the Friday weddings have rehearsal on the Wednesday before.
