church requirments (certificates, etc)

For those ladies getting married in a church..what are the requirements documentation-wise?

My parish is asking for a new cert of baptism issued within 6 months of the date of the wedding with a list of our sacraments on the back. the deacon said that the church I was baptized in should have a record of my confirmation even though I didn't receive it there

and of course the parish that I received my baptism in is saying that they do not have records of my other sacraments...

We needed copies of our baptismal lines issued within 6 months of our wedding date and a certificate from pre cana. We got our baptismal lines from the churches that we were baptized in...you only need proof of baptism and confirmation.
Maybe you can contact the church where you made your confirmation- My parish has all of the records.

I made all my sacraments in one church so my church had all the information needed. Can you call your church where you received communion and confirmation and ask them to provide you with that information, so you can provide it to the church.

We needed the same information as you, along with a letter of release saying that were can be married in a parish other than our own (my FH and I are getting married in a different parish). We also needed a notarized letter with two people as witness say that they approve the marriage! Crazy, right.

Or if you can not get that information, tell the priest or deacon that the chruch that you were baptised in does not have that information, is it possible that you can just give them what you/the church has? I know that my brother was not confirmed and was still able to get married in the chruch, I believe as long as you were baptised.

I just made my confirmation (yaay!!) and the church where I made it is not my original parish and they said they will send notification to my baptizmal parish that I made confirmation.... so your baptizmal parish SHOULD have record of your other sacraments.

My Baptism Cert didn't have my communion listed on the back of it (I did both at my original parish)... and it didn't have to be issued w/in any time period before my wedding.

ETA: We also had to have the 2 people from each side sign that we were ok to get married ie not related lol

I believe both of us just need our baptism certs.

I shouldnt even say it like we 'just' need it. I have to send away to a diff country to get mine
