Two questions...how easy is it to have a church time 4PM instead of 5PM. Ive heard that if you pay them a little more they can def work to fit the time you need.
Also,
How long on average does it take everyone to take the pictures? Not including travel time.
Thanks

I am hoping to find out the same thing. My FH and I are trying to find the best times for our wedding.

Re: Church times and Picture times
My church did not require any negotiating in regards to more $$ for a certain start time. My priest just asked me what time I want the ceremony to start and that was it. In regards to the time it takes to get the pictures done, I am having 4 hours in between the ceremony and reception to take pictures.

Re: Church times and Picture times
my church has set times. so my ceremony is at 11am on saturday and my cocktail hr starts at 1. I really don't want fi to see me before the ceremony. so we are going to have a quick ceremony and take pics during cocktail hr. so we only have about an hr to take pics.

It depends on the mass schedule as well.

Re: Church times and Picture times
A lot of Catholic churches have saturday confession at 4pm, so it may not be available for a wedding ceremony.
I would just call and ask, I think they'll tell you.

Re: Church times and Picture times
My church has set times as well. 11:30 1:00 2:30 5:15
They have confession at 4:00. My cocktail hour starts at 7:00. I was very undecided on what time to have my ceremony. But finally we went with 2:30. That gives me about 3.5 hours for pictures and I also have to travel about 30 minutes to the hall. I know it will be an inconvenience for some guests but my mother will be having cocktails and food between the ceremony and reception at our house. Having the ceremony at 5:15 would not give enough time at all.
