Church Wedding Etiquette...I need your help MOMS

Hi!

My mom is lucky to have both my sister and I getting married within 3 months of each other. My FH and I are doing a non-traditional wedding, but my sister is doing the Catholic Mass church ceremony.

Can my mom wear a Strapless gown to the church??? She found the gown she absolutely loves, but just found out they are doing the big Mass and doesn't want to look inappropriate.

If she wears a strapless gown, should be get her a bolero jacket or just use a shawl...any ideas or feedback would be well advised!! She is really unsure how to proceed from here.

Hi and congratulations.

Your mom should definitely get either a bolero or shawl that she can throw over her shoulders for the mass. That is what I did for both of my son's weddings.
