Church won't allow birdseed...

Church won't allow birdseed...

or petals or just about anything! Any ideas on what to use, or should we just throw the birdseed anyway and deal with the consequences later?

Anyone else have a similar situation?

Don't just throw it anyway - That's really disrespectful! You might also get fined for doing it.

You could do bubbles...

Guess my sarcasm didn't come through - parents work a lot in the church, wouldn't really want to do that to them.

That's a good idea. I was worried about the bubbles because I know some of them can stain your gown and I didn't really want to take the chance with the ones that claim they don't stain.

Yeah, I don't much care for the bubbles either, but I think the sugar hearts would be nice!

My church was the same way and I just used bubbles. I got the non-staining ones at Michael's. They looked really cute in the pic outside the church (it's in my profile pic if you want to see) and they didn't stain any of the dresses.

Thanks! The photog just put everyone with bubbles on the side where the wind was coming from and mother nature took care of the rest. It was pretty funny.

the sugar hearts get powder on the BM dresses. it happened for my friend's wedding---no big deal, we wiped it off, just wanted you to know. they looked very pretty!

I've seen people do ribbon wands and those come out really pretty. I've also seen people do sparklers for evening weddings. I think we might do ribbon wands or bubbles.

My church also didnt let us throw anything of any kind. We opted for ribbon wands and it worked out great. The pics came out really nice.

My church doesn't allow anything, no big deal to me.... so I am not doing anything... one less thing to worry about!! :)

I've sing people ring those small bells at my church instead or i've also seen ribbon wands.
