Hi All, We live in the Bronx and are most likely getting married on LI at the George Washington Manor in Rosyln. I don't know the area at all! Can someone suggest churches in the area that marry non-parishoners? Within 30 minutes of the hall is probably OK. Thanks!

I am getting married at St. Mary's in Roslyn which woudl be really close..pretty much just up the road.
I used to be a parishoner there, but haven't been in many many years since i haven't lived there for a while. When i called to set up my wedding there they didnt ask if i was a parishoner, so they might be willing to marry you, but I am not positive.

St. Aidan's in Williston Park, Corpus Christi in New Hyde Park would also be very close too. DOn't know if they marry non-parishoners though. That might be an issue at a lot of places... parishoners get first priority, but call and ASK! Also, I've been to a lot of weddings where people drive a bit farther from the church to the reception.... you mgiht want to get married at your hoem church in the Bronx, then drive down after.... that is if you have the time between the Mass and the reception...GOOD LUCK!

Thanks ladies! We are getting married on a Friday and I'd rather not have people getting stuck in rush hour from the Bronx to LI. I just feel like it would be better to have everyone already there.
