Hello, I was wondering if anyone knows of a church we can rent to have our wedding ceremony (in western suffolk county). My church is currently under construction right now. We have a pastor, singers, and musicians. So we basically need a nice church. Thanks Crystal

Have you asked your church?
They should have an alternative for you.

Re: Churches on Longisland
I was married at St. Agnes and they are very strict about letting non-parishoners get married there.
St. Thomas the Aspostle in West Hempstead has a really long isle. They are a little more relaxed in their rules than St. Agnes.
Call them if you are interested in Nassau. If not, you should call the diocese of Rockville Centre. I think they cover all of Long Island. They may be able to help you.
are you looking for a Catholic Church or a Protestant Church?
Northport has a great Catholic Church and Presbyterian Church across the street...both beautiful...
theres also Our Lady Queen of Mercy in Centerport...overlooking the water
I think Centerport also has a Congregational Church...that looks like a little old white church...and a Methodist Church
Greenlawn has a Presbyterian Church with really nice stained glass as well as St Francis of Asisi
would you believe I'm an atheist? lol...but I grew up in this area...

I am getting married at Bayport United Methodist... Most UM churches are really open to having couples outside of their religion or church get married in their buildings.. You just have to see teh church before you book it.. some have two aisles! I think I saw 90%of all UM churches in Suffolk before I decided on mine.. (Its small though)... Good Luck!

I am getting married at St. Matthews in Dix Hills. My fiance & I don't belong to the parish but my aunt & uncle used to before they moved out of atate. They don't seem very strict & are right off the LIE. You should check them out....
