Is anyone one using any of these or have been to a wedding at any of these churches?

St. Boniface in Elmont
Blessed Sacrament in Valley Stream
Our Lady of Victory in Floral Park

just trying to figure out how to go about booking aside from the basic issue of dates lol.

One of my girlfriends got married at Blessed Sacrament (it was our home parish).

When I booked my church all I had to do was call the rectory and make an appointment with the priest. They wouldn't even discuss dates with me until I met with him. At the meeting, we told him the date we were interested in and he put us in the book....it was that easy.

The hardest part was getting the appointment......

i didn't book OLV, but i am using St. Catherine's in Fr. Sq., all I had to call was call the church and tell them i wanted to book a wedding. they made me come in and meet with a priest, and then they wrote down our names in the book under the date that we wanted.

Im not getting married at those churches, but all you have to do is call the church you want to be married in, meet with the priest and he will then write yoru date in the book!!! That easy!! Once you meet with him he will give you a bunch of papers to read etc and he will ask you a few questions!

that could pose a problem.......you will probably have to receive confirmation before you get married. is FH Catholic, and did he receive all his sacraments? that may make a difference too.

Yes he is catholic and he has completed everything.
My mom and my friend think that it won't be a huge deal as long as i complete it prior to the wedding obv. Just wondering if anyone was, or know of somewhat with the same situation.

I had a similar problem. The church we looked at just required us to take Pre Cana courses... everywhere is different though so dont get discouraged

as long as he has everything, you should be ok. i would call the church and ask them directly. each church is different. you still have plenty of time to receive confirmation, so i wouldn't worry about it.

You should be fine. I never made my confirmation either. As long as one of you has all the sacraments, it's ok. We just can have a full mass - just a ceremony, which is all we wanted anyway so it worked out.

I'm getting married at OLV. We made an appointment and met with the Monsignor. He was really nice and we were able to book our date right then and there. If you do get married at OLV definitely do pre-cana through the church. They have a great group of people that run it.
