Silly question...but I have never really thought about this until now...but who does the church/reception setup?? (I will not have a DOC)
For the church I assume I have to appoint a friend/family member to set up any flowers/aisle runner/etc.
For the RH, do you just meet with the BM a few weeks before the wedding to tell him how you'd like the placecards/centerpieces/etc. to look??

no your florist will set up the flowers. And believe it or not its the limo driver that provides the aisle runner and sets it up.
And yes at the rh you dont do a thing. The maitre'd will do it all and his staff. Yes they will have table arrangements, you will tell them what goes on the tables. where you want your favors, whether on the table or elsewhere.
They did everything for me. I gave them my table runners, my own table numbers that i did, and told them what else to do. The maitre'd doesnt set up the centerpieces though, the florists go to the RH and set it all up
thats true...rh sets everything up for you. i am having my doc go there just to follow up with my florist to help out but the rh should do all this. you should be able to drop all your 'stuff' off a few days before with instructions on how you want things done. and as for the church...any decor...flowers or bows can be done by florist or family...and limo driver takes care of the runner!
