I thought I had this all planned out but now I'm doubting myself. As of right now my church is at 3:00 (in Queens). It's only going to be a 30 minute ceremony. My CH starts at 7:00 at WM. I thought I had enough time in between for FH and I to make the cocktail hour. But now that I'm thinking about it after we have the receiving line at the church, take pictures, then get on the road to Westbury (of course there's going to be traffic from Queens to LI on a Friday in the summer) I think we might need more time. Do you think I should bump up the time to maybe even just 2:30 to give ourselves another half hour? The freaking timing is the most stressful part of this whole thing! lol

I think you have PLENTY of time. I wouldn't worry. If you are real concerned call your photog and ask how long the traditional pics usually take. That's what I did and was put at ease.

you have plenty of time....besides u don't want to be at the CH for 7, you still want to show up late so all your guests are there.

Re: Church/RH timing issue...again
I am having my church at 2 and ch starts at 7. I figure church should be done by 3 then to get to OWG on a Friday during rush hour atleast 45 minutes I have done 4 trial runs so far lol. Take pics for an hour and half I should be leaving there by 5:30 I should get to sandcastle at 6. Family formals until 6:45 then I go into hiding and spend the next hour alone with FH

That should be plenty of time, and I agree with the others, it's perfectly expected that you make a fashionably late entrance to your CH and Rec.
