Cigar Bar and Martini Bar

Hello,

I keep hearing about people having cigar bars and/or martini bars at weddings. Has anyone been to a wedding, planning it for your wedding or has any info. on it? Please let me know.

Thanks,

I just went to one at the Westbury Manor...it had both...

the martini bar was for cocktail only...people liked it, but they closed the regular bar before the hour was up and their were only martinis...

the cigar hour was smoky and gave me a headache, but the guys loved it and regardless we had FMIL buy Cubans in Mexico and are doing it as well...but in a seperate room!! KEY!!!

Re: Cigar Bar and Martini Bar

We had a cigar bar for the last hour of our reception, in a seperate room away from the party. I never went in, (i'm a dancer, not a smoker!) but it was a big hit among the men. It was my husband's one wedding wish, so naturally I had to agree.
We had cuban cigars, and a man who hand rolled cigars on the spot. I was a little apprehensive about doing it, but I'm glad we did. I thought it was a nice touch.

Thank you yabbobay and JennRenee

JennRenee, I am also, not a smoker but I thought it would be something nice for my fiance and the guys to enjoy. Who did you use for the hand rolled cigars? Do you remember the pricing? Thanks for your help.

Re: Cigar Bar and Martini Bar

Since smoking killed my grandmother and grandfather I will not allow anything like a Cigar bar at my reception. Cigars kill people...plain and simple. In fact, there is NO smoking of any kind at my wedding. Smokers must go to the back deck to smoke outside- on a cold November night too.
Plus smoking, especially cigars, can damage your bridal gown.

The Martini Bar is very cute if your guests are big martini drinkers. I would get custom coaster made up for it too.

Septbride, the man who did the hand rolling at our wedding was supplied by my reception site (Flowerfield), but I'm sure there are other places you could contact to find someone to do it for you. Maybe a place that sells cigars would have some ideas. Sorry I couldn't be of more help to you.
