Cigar Poll: Updated

FH, who you all know is not oppinonated in any way wants a cigar roller at the wedding. So he will have one. Problem is the one in the city is $750 for 150 cigars rolled onsite. The one on long Island is $1000 for 100 cigars rolled onsite.

The city people are rude and well unattentive.
The LI people are nice but much more expensive.

What to do?

If you have different quotes please let us know!

Seriously ladies, FH is silly. After your comment on how it could be a rough day for the bronx people, I called myself. FH called the first time and told me that they had an attitude. Holy over reaction batman. I spoke with Bonnie and she was fab. They are sending us sample cigars and we will book with them. Thanks tuti0907

Re: Poll

wow...i had no idea it was that expensive...wait, why am i surprised that it costs so much to have something at a wedding again?

hmmm....maybe you can find another place that's cheaper AND nice? i'd hate to use a company solely based on price and have them be rude.

Re: Poll

maybe the LI rollers will match the qty of the 150 that you got quoted by the city people? So maybe youwill at least be getting 150 for good service, but still paying 1k? its worth a try.

Re: Poll

I have a recommendation.

La Casa Grande Tobacco Company in the Bronx. I work across the street from Bloomingdales and I've seen them in the Men's Department during fashion shows. The rollers were great and they were very professional. I asked for a card for my own wedding and I called and spoke to Bonnie.

She was a sweetheart to speak to on the phone and she gave me the following pricing.

- 1 roller (in tuxedo or Cuban style attire (straw hat and guayabera shirt), and 1 assistant
-150 cigars
-2 hours of rolling

$700 plus approx. $50 for travel (if you pay cash there is not tax on the $700).

They have done weddings at the Vanderbilt Mansion before and they are the only ones that are licensed by the ATF (Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms).

If you have any further questions you can FM me. Hope this helps.
