Re: Cigar Roller

There is a company called CFCigarRoller.com, is that the one you found online?

I've been to 2 parties at the Garden City Hotel that had a cigar roller at the end, and honestly, I didn't find it was good in the space. They set up a table with 2 cigar rollers in the entranceway area so that when guests were leaving the ballroom, they could wait in line and watch, and get a cigar. Problem? The line got VERY long and it completely blocked the doors in and out of the party. So, if you're going to do this, the only thing I suggest is that you make sure there is adequate space for everyone to see, and wait on line.

As an alternative, we're having our cigars pre-rolled, attaching our personalized matchbooks with ribbon, and my Dad (who loves cigars), is going to give them to some people who he wants to have a cigar with, and others will be out for people to take.

We're going to use a small cigar shop in Larkfield Road in Northport. I'm honestly not sure of the name, I think it is East End Cigars, but the address and phone number are:

246 LARKFIELD RD, EAST NORTHPORT, NY 11731
Phone: (631) 754-6639

My Dad always gets his cigars there, and likes them a lot. Maybe you could call them and see if they do hand rolling at weddings as well?

Hope that helps!

ETS- from what I gathered, it's between $1k-$2k for the guy to come (depends on if he is there for 1 or 2 hours, but usually they suggest 2 so he can roll more), plus that isn't going to be a lot of cigars, so you need to purchase additional cigars that they pre-rolled.

Re: Cigar Roller

I know its a lot of money. We looked into it. It all depends on how many cigars you want. Make sure you check with your hall to see if its okay to do this. If you really want one try The Little Cigar Factory
57 Merrick Ave, Merrick
There's a couple of them on Island. They are really good. They do all kinds of flavors Southern Comfort, Jack Daniels, Blueberry etc...

Re: Cigar Roller

THANK YOU FOR YOUR INPUTS!!

I actually was thinking about doing it during cocktail hour if my hall permits - since the tables are set up inside and outside for cocktail hour I tink it would be more appropriate and there wouldn't be much of a line.....but we are not sure yet. Many factors play into this, we were originally going to do cigars with personalized labels and have them out for cocktail hour and on the tables during reception...thanks again for your input!!
