I would like to purchase from http://larosacubanacigars.com for cigars for my reception and I wanted to know if anyone purchased from them and which cigars would be good for the event? is there a common type of cigar and if so which one is it?

I didn't order from them so I can't help. We ordered a cigar roller from LCG in the bronx. Most places will send you a sample.
