I don't know if I'd be free and out on the streets if this had happened to me...I'd have to hurt someone somewhere for this! She's got amazing self control!

Ladies, things did work out.....

My wonderful girls decided we should stick w/ our original plans for the first dress (b/c me and my MOH ran out separately to Ann Taylor, Nordstrom, Bloomies, Macys & Jessica McClintock) & found that most of the stores did not have anything but black dresses (en mass) or else nothing that would truly be flattering on everyone. I did find 3 dresses I really liked from Jess MC, but the girls were hesitant and my MOH said you don't want to look back on pics & be upset b/c you changed the dress & the color, you put so much thought into all the details, flowers, etc. (TRUE), BUT

With the rush ordering and overnight shipping & alterations, each dress is running them about $375!!!!! I feel terrible about it, I truly do. I wish at this point we could treat them, but at this point that isn't even an option.

I also feel bad b/c we HAD to have the order in by 12 noon if we were going to do it---I had my girls rush out to meet me & get remeasured & make sure they were sure (& didn't want to pick out a different dress, etc. at some other place).

We ended up ordering through another salon (not original) after speaking w/ the manufacturer and they will be able to rush it & get the dresses to the salon by Wed., then onto major alterations in 2 days! Keep your fingers crossed it works out.

The original salon I had my final fitting this afternoon, & they were VERY apologetic. They can't even figure out what happened, except perhaps the dresses got stuck in another shipment & some other salon has them. She altered the fg dress for nothing and was super apologetic. My dress looks gorgeous by the way!!! I was thrilled.

Most of all though I want to thank all of you girls, you were there to listen and lend your support and hugs and understanding yesterday & today when I could have very easily lost it. Many of you offered your time to go looking with me at stores and others offered suggestions and many offered hugs. You guys are truly the best, thank you for all the kind words & fm's (to be honest I've been running non-stop yesterday & today & haven't had a chance to respond) & we have our rehearsal at the church in a little while.

I just want to say thank you. I'm really happy things did work out and just want to say you guys are the best!

OMG, Cindy...I was thinking about you today and felt sooo bad. I am SO happy things worked out for you!!

I'm so glad things worked out for you. This will just be a funny story about your wedding after its all over, you'll see!

Cindy - so glad things worked out for you!!!!!

Yayeeee Cindy!!!!!!! I'm still sorry you had to go through all of this but now I'm super glad it worked out!!!!! Your BMs must be angels, you should all go out for ice cream or something after this is over!!!!

And just think, any other lil thing that may come up will pale in comparison to this!!! So you can rest knowing that it'll all be smooth sailing from here on out!!!!!

Also, congrats on your dress looking so good!!! You've been working so hard, I can't wait to see you in it next Saturday!!

I cant believe how nice you have been to the bridal salon... i would have ripped them a new one!! You have good karma coming to you!!

I've been thinking of you too! I even told DH, b/c the story was so disturbing, and he agreed - that is (or was :) something to get upset over!

Sounds like your girls were super understanding which is great, just wish the original salon could have fronted that ridiculous bill!

I have seen dresses undergo major alterations within hours, so I'm sure they and you will be gorgeous in the end!

Glad it worked out! Better be off a bit higher in $ but it's what you wanted.
