Cira, how did you make out woth the band???

I was just curious how everything went with your song list with the band and how that worked. I know we discussed it previously. Did you have alot of songs on your play list or did you leave alot up to them? Thanks!

The band was awesome - really and truly great. We didn't have to much on our must plays - we gave them a lot of leeway. But we did pick our first dance, parent dances, cake song, dedication songs (2) and told them to play Italian waltzes, that's it! They were great. I actually spoke to the band leader the week before the wedding and we went over things and it totally reassured me. They played great though and everyone was asking them for a card. Give Heather a call at Frank Wayne if you want and she can tell your band leader to call you. I know you got Franklin Wayne but which band did you choose? Was it Daybreak's night?

Cira - was Heather helpful? I called yesterday asking if I could speak to my band leader a week or so before the wedding and she sort of commented 'If you want to but its not necessary'. Im sure she will put them in contact with me if I demand it but her attitude put me off a little. Just curious if Im being overly sensitive.

She was pretty helpful. I thanked her upfront for dealing with me and asked her if she could please have the band leader call me because I wanted to go over a couple of things. But then I didn't hear from the band leader, so when Frank Wayne called me to go over the deposit (about a week before the wedding), I told him that I was waiting for a call back and about two days later, I heard from the band leader.

I'm sure she'll get the band leader to get in touch with you - just ask again or if you would like, talk to Frank Wayne and then tell him to have the band get in touch with you. He is really very nice.

My husband and I also went to another showcase about 2 months before the wedding to hear them again and to speak to them. I don't know if you have the time to do that, but when I spoke to the band leader, she remembered me from that night!

I don't think you are to sensitive, at times I thought that people were a bit rude with me - but then my husband reminded me that there are probably 100 other brides like me that call these people daily. Our weddings are important to us - not them!

Thanks for getting in touch with me. I dropped my song list off a couple of weeks ago. Our band is actually playing tommorow night and we are going to the showcase. Maybe we can talk to them then. So glad it all worked out for you.
