Citibank

Does anyone have Citibank credit cards?? Did anyone elses credit limit get slashed to like 20% of what it was???

I was using the card for all things wedding related...I'm so upset

That didn't happen to my citibank card, but it did happen to my HSBC card. Very annoying!

that happened to my friend when we were out - she had just paid a big chunk off and was paying for dinner and it got declined - turns out they lowered her credit limit and didn't even notify her!

she called them, and with new credit card legislation that was enacted in Feb, they were scrambling to lower their risk, hence the cutting people's credit down and cancelling cards for other people.

me too.. my bestbuy card. I had just paid a good $700 towards it and next thing I know I get a letter in the mail telling me that my limit was dropped from $1100.00 to (ready for this?) $105.00 this was right before FH's birthday (so late oct/early nov) i FLIPPED out!
they told me that I was selected out of a random drawing.. I was like 'I just paid you off and you do this to me!? I was supposed to buy a freaking big screen TV!'

I hate them!

Ugh!! I have a Chase card and was gonna pay a big chunk of it off after the wedding. I wonder if they will pull that crap with me.

I have one - and they actually INCREASED my line without me requesting it. I hate when they do that - I'm very anal about my credit and credit score. I called today to have it lowered back to what it was!

I have to check tomorrow because I'm not sure. I know that my American Express APR was raised to 23.75 (something ridiculous like that) from 12%. I have never been late with a payment and have excellent credit. I was so mad. They told me they had to raise it due to the economy and people not paying their bills. Right now, I refuse to charge until they lower it!
