So the man I was dealing with wrote me back and told me this:
'Sandra,
Normally we would be able to accommodate that size party, however, it is Long Island Restaurant week and it will be entirely too busy for us to take a group that size. I apologize for the inconvenience. Should you need any reservations in the future, we would love to have you.'
That suxs. However, we can try and do dinner that evening at another location, I can call a few places. Or we can push dinner until the following week. Let me know what you all want to do.

Old Country Buffet isn't that ghetto. Its good food for a great price...Granted the regular population that frequents that restaurant isn't high class folks, but hey you are there for the food, not to people watch, right? LOL..
Other locations - Famous Dave's next door? International Delight Cafe (IDC)in Rockville Centre? Applebee's across from Bellmore LIRR? PF Chang's at the Source Mall? California Pizza Kitchen in Carle Place?
