City weddings

I found this forum under NYCityWeddings.com and that's how I log in. But...is anyone actually getting married in the city? I see all LI venues.

My church is in the city but rh is in long island. I know not all the grls are getting married in li. Some grls are getting married in queens, bronx, and I think a few nj and connecticut too maybe...

My church is on queens but I consider that LI - but that's prob cuz I was born in LI. Most Queens ppl don't see it that way!

I looked on LI as well, and FILs live on LI and FH works on LI but we live in manhattan and are getting married in the city!

haha I must be an LI'er at heart because when I said city I was just thinking...Manhattan. Forgot that people consider Qns, BK, BX the city (even though I live in queens and work in manhattan). I guess it makes more sense that way cuz otherwise nycityweddings.com would be for like 4 people! Anyway, I guess I'm getting married in the 'city' too!

I live in Queens but my Church and Reception are in Manhattan. I have alot of family coming from Europe so i thought the Christmas Fairytale wedding would be so cool for everyone!!!

I tried my hardest to have a city wedding. LOL! But we just couldn't afford it. So our church is in Queens but our RH is on LI. I'm much happier this way since I can do a lot more personalized stuff whereas for a city wedding, all our budget would've been used on the venue.
