Clairs in the smithaven mall....

Has tons of cute stuff! All sorts of cute communion things for little girls that would be pefect for FG's too. Jewelry and white gloves and stuff.
Also they had TONS of prom jewelry and gloves for women too. I actually got a headpiece there, and the hair swirls, I mentioned them in another post...the swirl part dissapears in your hair and the jewel 'floats' in your hair. They are so cute! Most of the headpieces/tiaras there were crappy looking IMO, but I found a nice one that is simple and small (thin). It has frosted glass looking leaves and austrian crystal flowers.
Best of all its CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP! It's made from austrian crystal so its nice and sparkly too. I dunno how it will look w/ my dress but her it was only 12 bucks! So if it looks cheap compared to my gown than I am only out a few bucks...
What I am surprised about is that all these prom girls get all dressed up for this stuff as if it WAS a wedding! Gloves and tiaras and stuff? Imagine you are a 17 yr old guy and you pick up your prom date and she looks like a bride...they are prolly like

It's just the prom girl, I'm not getting married!

For my prom I had a really light teal green dress ( I guess outside in the bright light it looked white).. and my mom had my hair and makeup professionally done.. i had a $300 fricken tiara that she got at a bridal shop.. she went all out.. well we were outside my house with the limo and my date in his tux. ( keep in mind we lived accross the street from a church and it was a friday night) people were driving by and honking and saying congratulations and telling me I was a beatiful bride!!!! I had just gotten my braces off 2 days before!!! lol

I'm sorry I did not mean to 'make fun'!

I wish my mom would buy me a 300$ tiara NOW, let alone for my prom!

Does anybody know if those hair swirls would stay in your hair if you left it down with curls.

I'm not sure...the swirls do not look that tight.

Thanks i was also looking at the rhinestones with velcro backing, i guess i'll have to try both at my trial and see which stays in better. Does anybody else have any suggestions on what might work?

lol its ok!! she helped me out more then then she does now!!! I guess she was trying extra hard b/c my parents were newly divorced and she felt bad....
I just wanted to share cuz I thought it was kinda funny
