Clarification on Legality of Universal Life Church
Hey girls,
I just want some concrete clarification from someone who has personally been married or will be married by someone who is ordained through the Universal Life Church. I am getting married in August in Suffolk County and just want to make sure that it will be legal. A lot of people have said it's fine but with all the legal jargon on different websites I just wanted to check with someone who already dealt with this. Thanks!

I spoke with the Town of Huntington Clerk's office and they said that they do not have any specifications of how the person is ordained. The person I talked to just said that he has to sign the license and mail it back to them.

You are good. My father actually called ULC and TOB and it will be legal. The problem would come in if the wedding took place within one of the five boroughs but I didn't find out why because I am getting married in Nassau County.
