Did anyone try calling Retro Limousine in Farmingdale? I couldn't find any feedback on them on LIW. They have this car which is exactly what I want

That car is awesome. I want to do something like this too, but we may not need limo's now.

Try posting on craigs list or calling local car clubs and see if anyone will rent it privately. That's what I was going to do.

Thanks, those are great ideas. I was thinking of calling car clubs. My FFIL is a member of a Corvette Club (he has a newer model) so I'll ask him about it tonight.

Sorry to crash your board, but I would call Peter at Film Cars and see if he has what you are looking for. I leased a 1968 Checker Cab from Peter for my wedding. He is one of the nicest people in the wedding industry. Check out my review for more details and pics (link in bio).

I contacted film cars, and their insurance doesn't cover rentals all the way in Port Jefferson (in suffolk) . We also want a cute blue or white 50's car.....

any other suggestions for people to contact? Any other brides book a 50's or 60's car for a LI wedding?

We're using a 1958 rolls royce and a 14 passenger lincoln, both from Royalty Limos.

They just told me the same thing today! I posted that I was looking gor a 1950s car on Craigslist as aimes1313 had suggested and someone emailed me saying he would spread the word around local car clubs - I'll let you know if I hear anything from him. Yesterday, I tried to email the car club Still Cruisin' but the email got bounced back to me.
