Claud-furniture ?

I love Paul's furniture--the crib is the style that i like -I love the wide slats-how do you like it? When we looked at it the first time I felt like the mattress was really low( I know you can adjust it) but even at the highest level it seemed much lower-- have you noticed/had problems/etc? I know Paul was older when he first went into it but how do you think it would be with a newborn?

Re: Claud-furniture ?

Laura - thanks I love Paul's furniture too - it looks great in his new room!

I am not sure I can answer your specific question satifactorily, b/c I have not had experience using this crib w/the mattress at any other height, except for the absolute lowest it can go.

That being said, the crib is designed to be the exact same dimensions and heights as a standard crib, with the only difference being that this crib does not have a movable side rail - meaning, you do not have to raise and lower one side in order to get the baby in and out. I was worried that it would be difficult for me to put Paul into the crib w/o waking him, but I have not had a problem. I am quite short - only 5'1', and I can easily lean over the front rail and gently place him on the mattress w/o waking him up.

Does that help you? Feel free to ask more questions, if you need to. I'll try to help!

Re: Claud-furniture ?

That def helps-- I 'tested'one out at the babyexp by putting my arm in and seeing where it fell and the same with a regular crib---- but I have to check again-I am taller 5'8 1/2 so maybe that is why I felt like it was lower--I LOVE the look but also like that there is no need to lower the side-- I never do anyway(with my nieces)
What brand and style is Paul's??? I spent way to many work hours looking at furniture online today!!! Cant help the baby fever
