i have this ring around the inside of a toilet.. towards middle of the thing. i know that when you dont clean it in a while it geta a ring... thats not the case here. i clean often- much to my dismay there is stilla ring inside. I have tried everything, clorox cleanup, basically every cleaning product i have and scrubbed to try and get this thing off. it looks like a rust ring. its a fairly new toilet- since ive been here three years.. i even tried straight bleach and tried to scrub - its not a full ring.. im babbling its just annoying me. any suggestions??

I just got this new stuff by Kaboom, its called Kaboom bowl blaster... Its a powder, you put some in and then it foams up and rises to fill your toilet. You leave on for a few minutes and then so a light scrub...Man this stuff works good, I am not making any promises on your ring but I think its worth a shot with this stuff.

Yikes. It sounds like you have tried everything! I was going to suggest the thing I use- one of those long-handled things so you don't have to put your hand in the can- but it seems like you've gone beyond that.
Flylady.com might have some suggestions. I haven't been to that site for a while but it used to have good ideas for domestic- related stuff.
i dont remember the Exact instructions.. But if the ring is where the water line usually is (i think thats where most rings form).. your supposed to dump a pail of water in your toilet, so it pushes most of the water down- as to not dilute the cleaning product... and then, depending on what the cause of the ring is:
'dirt'- pour chlorox in there and let it sit for a little while rust- pour CLR in, make sure that it coats the ring, and let it sit for a little bit
then srcub the ring and it should come out.

Is there something in the tank that might be causing the ring? We have the same problem with our toilet. I clean it practically every other day. FH opened the top of the tank and there is something rusty in there that I think is tainting the water.

Oh my Gosh, I had this and nothing took it off but low and behold something I bought from it was either QVC or HSN. It was made in England and has an English flag embellium on the bottle. I do not know the name, it also came with 2 scrubby things. It worked like magic, I was so excited DH and I were standing there in amazement after the ring was gone! I was so happy with the product that I am even willing to do a testimonal. LOL
