i;ve been up all night with some stomach thing (i swear these stomach issues need to eff-in stop), slept on the couch because FH is sick and is snoring terribly, and i promised to make cupcakes for a friends bday tonight! so i've already made the vegan chocolate ones, and now i'm starting the real ones. of course i didnt decide on easy ones, no no, tres leches coconut cupcakes with dulce de leche frosting.

how do u make the dolce de leche?? do u put the can of milk in boiling water or osmething?? fmil described the process and i looked at her like she was crazy.. pleasee let me know lol

thanks! this is quoted directly from the recipe i got (thanks bobby flay, you're a d1ck) To make the dulce de leche, pour the sweetened condensed milk into a glass pie plate and cover with foil. Place in a larger roasting pan where pie plate can sit flat. Pour hot water into the roasting pan to a depth of about halfway up the pie plate. Place in oven and bake for 1 hour 15 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool. Stir until smooth.

yea that seems more normal that putting the can of milk in a pot with boiling hot water then letting it cool for 2 hrs then opening it to find that its caramel. im likeokkkkkkkkkkkkk i wont be making that lol

the only good thing about all this, is the apartment smells like delicious toasted coconut, hope it doesnt wake FH up
but dont be fooled, its gonna take a lot longer than an hour and forty five minutes to make these.

but dont be fooled, its gonna take a lot longer than an hour and forty five minutes to make these.
I'm in love with bobby flay..you have to make his sangria..of course..after you are feeling better and not making ME cupcakes lol..seriously..feel better!

so the last batch are already in the oven, the first batch are soaking up the tres leches, soon it'll be time to make the dulce de leche and maybe i'll be lucky to take a shower, lol
