Now this is just my opinion so I don't want to be beat over the head for it. I chose a strapless but high cut bridesmaid dress for my girls. I did not want anything low cut or with cleavage hanging out for them nor will I have that and I have big boobs lol. I showed one of the girls pictures of dresses I wanted her to try on. Now she has a large chest so I knew it would be an issue for alot of these dresses. I finally found one I liked that was strapless but high with detailing on top. It's very elegant looking and looked very pretty on her. Every dress she tried on I would ask her if she liked it and she would say with a blank expression yea it's nice. I then had her try on one with straps. She was popping out of it and it was extremely low. She kept saying well you can make it higher but the lady came over and showed her that no it had to be pulled under your boobs so once again she was popping out. I chose the strapless one with detailing but she kept saying oh watever you want me to wear and kept brining up the low cut one saying how nice it was. I told her jokingly..though maybe I was being a little serious lol, I should be the center of attention that day not your breasts hanging out. I did give her a few options and asked for her opinion though I would be ultimately choosing it. Is that enough?

Re: Cleavage and BP dresses
I think that's fine. All 3 of my girls are very well endowed in that area and I made sure to choose dresses that would not have them popping out all over the place. I don't think its appropriate for a wedding. Fortunately for me all my girls agree and don't want to be out everywhere.

Re: Cleavage and BP dresses
I think its completely normal to not want your bridal party hanging out or yourself for that matter .. I have big boobs too and thats my fear with every dress i try on . I dont want to look like im fallin out.. my FH also told me that he doesnt want my boobs hangin out either so we are in total agreement.. I do believe that the bridal party should have a say in the dresses you pick out. but if they are hangin out of a dress then u have the right to vito that, lol. im sure you can all come to agreement..maybe a litte compromise :) good luck!

I have the same situation, including myself! We are all very large up top and I do understand that sometimes no matter what you wear they pop out! However, if you've found something that covers them and is still nice, then that's the one!

i usually have the opposite problem...that girls pick bm dresses that arent great for large busts....I will order it bigger and have it altered to fit better but still end up popping out.. I agree that having boobs out is not the most appropriate for the wedding....
i would just tell your friend in the nicest way possible that she should be as covered up as possible.

Re: Cleavage and BP dresses
Choose what you want. I have a serious problem with clevage showing on my wedding day because I feel that it is an elegant celebration, not a night out at the local bar/club. I know that some of my bridesmaids may not like my taste but I want the wedding party to look a certain way and my taste is a bit conservative. I say, tell them a dress that you like. Don't try to change your mind because one bridesmaid wants to show some clevage, its not the time or place for dressing that way.

I feel that same exact way.

Re: Cleavage and BP dresses
overall its ur decision and it doesnt matter what dress ur BM like and dont like its what YOU want
you know what I also have one bridesmaid like that and of course the one that looked best is the one that had her breasts hanging out (literally no way of preventing this with any style we tried her in) She plans to buy a little bolero to wear over the dress so its not so front and center. She also has a tattoo that she doesn't want seen on her shoulder (her choice - not mine!)

Re: Cleavage and BP dresses
ok this may be harsh but are you purposely picking high dresses so no one looks at your bridesmaids? I think no matter what dress you pick for them everyone will be looking at you - i want my girls to be comfortable & look hot im not concerned with people not looking at me I KNOW they will be looking at me but when i look back at my pictures i want the pictures to be awesome. I'm purposely picking high dresses bc I feel it's appopriate. And yea the one dress that maybe she liked I was defentially not picking. By high I mean not low cut. You don't need to have a low cut dress for it to look nice on. I don't think low cut means you look hot either. I mean we're not going to a club, it's a wedding.

Re: Cleavage and BP dresses
sure you want your bridesmaids to look great and be comfortable but they all must look presentable too. no matter what they wear everyone will be looking at you, yes that is true, but you don't want to look back at your pictures and see that your bridesmaids don't look like elegant women attending a classy function, ya know? its all about the memory of the day because the day will go by so quickly you won't really notice much but your pictures and video will last forever.

Re: Cleavage and BP dresses
i agree with you and think you handled it well, i dont want 7 pairs of boobs hanging out on either sid eof me in my pictures people should be staring at me not my bm's boobies , im such a snot lol
also, maybe not all your bms will be comfortable in something more low cut, the best way to go is how youre doing it and just avoid any possible problems with that

I don't think you're out of line for not wanting her to pop out. As a large chested woman myself, just an idea to toss around is that maybe it's more the idea of a strapless bra that's bothering your friend. Maybe she'd be more comfortable if thick straps (sort of like those gather-y cap-sleeve-like ones) could be added to hide bra straps, or if a bra could be sewn into the dress.
