FH and I are having an interfaith ceremony (reverend & rabbi). They were both recommended to us by the hall and luckily for us they have worked together before. I've already sent the Reverend a deposit, but nothing to the rabbi which I am assuming he will be paid in full on the day of the wedding.
My questions are: How soon before the wedding should I call them to discuss the wedding?
Do you meet them before hand or do you meet them the day of the wedding?
Can someone tell me what the process is dealing with clergy if you haven't met them before because I'm confused, LOL.
Thanks Ladies

Re: Clergy Question
i can only tell you what the deacon who is marrying us told us to do, he asked us to call to make an appt about 2 months before the wedding to go over the ceremony/answer questions.

Re: Clergy Question
we discussed the overall structure of the ceremony when we first met and chose our officiant (about 6 weeks before the wedding). then we met with her last week (2 1/2 weeks before the wedding) to finalize plans.

Re: Clergy Question
The first time we spoke, I called him on the phone and we spoke for almost an hour or so..he then sent me all sorts of info by email and he said if I liked his structure to let him know. I emailed him back and we made arrangements to meet for dinner. At dinner we gave him a 50% deposit. The rest will be given to him the day of. HTH!

Re: Clergy Question
We were told that once we put down a deposit and everything they will call us about eight weeks before the wedding so we can meet with the minister and go over the details. I would call them both and see how soon in advance you need to meet with them. It might be different since the ceremony is at the hall.
