I am going to visit CLM tomorrow (I'm meeting with Nick) and was wondering if anyone had any advice for questions to ask, things to look out for, etc. Also, I'm looking to book for the beginning of June and was hoping that someone might be able to share with my their price per person. I know this is a very personal thing to ask, I'm just new at this and wanna make sure I'm not getting taken advantage of since it's just me and my mom going.
Thanks!!!

Re: CLM
You will love CLM and Nick! We paid 95 pp for a Friday night last year. We couldn't have been happier with the service and the place! I want to get married there again! Feel free to FM with any questions!

Re: CLM
There's a list around here somewhere. But you will love CLM if you like the waterfront setting. We were also quoted at $95pp for a Friday night in August 2012, not including 20% service charge and 8.625% tax.
I got quoted $75 a person + tax & service on a fri night may 2012. They also had extra fees that other RHs didnt have. Good Luck

Re: CLM
Hey Everyone!
As promised here is my mini review for CLM which i visited today.
Right off the bat I wasn't too happy because me and FH were supposed to meet with Nick, who wasn't there and never called me to say he wouldn't be there, and instead we met with Tito. He was very nice but didn't completely put the whole vision together for me, which was maybe why I wasn't so impressed.
First of let me say I am a bride with a fairly tight budget, and am definitely looking for a good deal, but there were parts of CLM that I just couldn't live with. For example, the ceremony area is VERY small, in fact the whole outside are is small and the pictures on their website are very deceiving. Also, at the end of the aisle in the ceremony area is a small gazebo, past which you can see a parking lot. There is also a public pier and while we were outside there was a bunch of people on bicycles yelling, just what I want during my wedding ceremony. I asked Tito if they every have problems with people during the ceremony and his answer was 'very rarely'- which for me means it happens and that is completely unacceptable. Also, the boat ride as a grand entrance also wasn't as great as I had hoped- the boat ride lasts only 5 minutes (as per Tito) and if it rains you don't get to go on the boat at all.
CLM also smelled like a urinal. Yes a urinal. My mom was almost gagging at one point. Tito claimed they had just had the carpets cleaned, which I guess could cause some odor to linger, but it smelled awful. The bridal sweet was very very small & somewhat run down.
Some good points- the rooms were beautiful! Great floor to ceiling windows and nice chairs and linens. The tables are oval and really look great in the room. The room on the second floor has high ceilings with beautiful chandeliers. Another great thing was the menu- they have a GREAT selection and PLENTY of food for the price. They also offer a FREE tasting and you and FH can bring FOUR friends along! The inside ceremony room (in case of rain) is also gorgeous, and I would opt to have my ceremony there instead of outside area if I booked here.
I was definitely hesitant about posting my honest opinion after seeing CLM today because I know that many LIW brides are getting married here. However, not everyone has the same taste and I thought maybe there was someone out there that would appreciate my point of view :)
Anyways, I hope that helps and if anyone has any specific questions about my visit today feel free to FM me!!

EEK! Sorry you had a bad experience. I dont know how many guests you are having at your wedding but we had 150 and there were no complaints about the outside being cramped. In fact, we chose it because we had seen some other waterfront out door sites that were even smaller! But like you said, different stroked for different folks and I am sure the ladies will appreciate your honest opinions!
ETA: It also didn't smell like a urinal when we got married lol
