Re: CLM Brides

We are using the Four Points by Sheraton in Plainview, on the LIW Service Road. We looked at the Huntington Hilton and also the Melville Mariott. We actually stayed at the Hilton for my FBIL and FSIL's wedding and weren't that happy. The rooms were scattered all over the place, half the guests didn't get the beds they requested, it was noisy, they closed the bar even though they knew we were coming back to use it after the wedding and the glasses at the buffet in the morning were dirty. Their rates were also a little higher than we got elseware (I believe $129). They don't have a bridal suite, more of an executive suite. We went to the Mariott which had nice rooms, but the bar closed early and a big part of the reason we are booking hotels is to have an afterparty... The rooms were nice, but normal. When we saw the Sheraton it was all newly redone and they are in the process of building a new bar and restaurant. They saidi they would keep it open for us, and their bridal suite is awesome. They also matched the lowest rate we had gotten which was $109. So far, we have enjoyed working with them!

Thank you! Any idea when their renovations will be done? Did they tell you?

The holiday inn express offers a shuttle.. its on the CLM website. I think it will be perfect for us bc we live in lake ronkonkoma and it is not too far from her.

Yep! We almost used them because of that. We are using Sheraton in Hauppauge on Motor Parkway since it is close to the church/my parents' house, we rented two shuttles to transport the guests to CLM.

When I called a while back, we still had to pay for the shuttles. THey had them, but we had to pay.

Re: CLM Brides

The Sheraton doesn't but they will give you the name of a limo comany their work with. Also, some limo companies do it on their own and are more reasonable than the hotels!

Dunno about the shuttle.

The only one I know with a BRIDAL suite is the Sheraton. THe other two have executive suites... They're nice, but not bridal.
They're all pretty nice but I would say the Sheraton and Mariott are the classiest.
The Best Western on Sunrise is the closest but it is more of an inn. Otherwise the Hilton.
