CLM brides.... or anyone whos been to CLM

I m STILL in a dilemma about which room to book.

We originally booked the upstairs room because we didnt think wed have 150....

now we will have around 150 and have the choice of booking the downstais room but FH and I are SO SO SO undecided.

We love the 'cozyness' of the uptairs room and that the windows look right over the water and now onto the docks and stuff

The downstairs room has the amazing ceiling and is much more roomie, plus the bigger bridal suite

what do you guys think? I am having such a hard time about this. Will the upstairs be way too crowded with 150? Is the downstairs going to look empty?

Honestly I fell in love with the lower room. I loved the floor to ceiling windows and the glasss dome... I just loved everyhting about the room and opted to increase the guest list to get that room. It is all about prefrence either room you chose you will have a beautiful day.

I agree that the upstairs room has a nice view but I think the downstairs room is nicer overall with the big windows and the dome. I guess it just depends on preference. Won't the upstairs room be tight with about 150?
Either way I think its a great place to get married. I'm so psyched that we found it!

We booked the downstairs room & will also have 150. If you are afraid of the room looking empty you can always make the tables '8's' instead of 10's or 12's. I love the high ceilings and the huge windows & also the option of guests being able to walk outside & use the deck & such during the wedding.

You also have to consider though, Nick said the downstairs room has the later start time....7:30, just FYI.

I think you should go for the downstairs room-although both are beautiful, I jsut think it may be a little tight upstairs with 150. I too booked the downstairs room because of the floor to ceiling windows!! I love it!!

My brother had his wedding in the lower room and it was a blast. Not to mention it was easier access to everything, bathrooms, guest that smoked, and if anyone wanted to walk around the boardwalk. Definitely the lower room would be my choice.

Yes there are bathrooms up stairs but there are less stalls then the downstairs room.

ok.. I think when we go to make ur next payment I will take one more look and decide. I just dont want to wait that long because Im afraid somene else will book

Darlin, just go in there. If they think they are going to get #1 money from you or #2 More money from you they are going to welcome you with open arms. Just go there when it is slow and when they are not having an affair.
I am going on Wed to show my FMIL the hall since she is flying in from TX and I want her to see it. I can't wait!!

I booked the upstairs room. I think the downstairs room is gorgeous but it's way too big for myparty of 100-120 pp. The upper room is cozy but can get tight with too many guests, so I would first ask Nick how many guests and or tables can comfortably fit in the upstairs room. Keep in mind you need room for the bar, your Dais, the dance floor, and the DJ booth and I don't think you can fit more than 10 at a table. Also, I think you get a better view of the ocean from upstairs room since you are higher up, but the downstairs room has a skylight. Basically, I think all the rooms are gorgeous. It will just come down to which one fits your needs.

FYI, the upstairs room does have floor to ceiling windows and the bathroom and bridal suite are all that same floor. One benefit is that only your guests are on that floor while the bigger room is by the main entrance. Yes, guests who want to smoke will have to go downstairs but who cares. If they want to leave my party to pump their lungs with nicotine then they can get a little excercise doing it.
