clm girls-past and future

Are you having uplighting?? I loveeee the way it looks, but I'm in the downstairs. Is it worth it because of the floor to ceiling windows?

Does it take away from the room?

Does it really add to that downstairs ballroom?

It will be summer and light for 2 hours of our wedding. I don't knowwwww what to do!!

What are you doing/did you do?

Re: clm girls-past and future

I got married in the downstairs room on a Saturday night in November. It was dark outside the whole time. We got the uplighting and it looked AWESOME! Nick actually came up to me in the middle of the party and told me how amazing it looked in the room. We only lit up the round part of the room and not the back part with the bar and the other tables. I would def. recommend it if its in the budget.

Also - the whole reason we wanted it was because DH and I saw it at TWOTY at CLM (during the day!) and it really looked amazing. The daylight did not take away from it at all.

FH and i decided not to do the uplighting.. we are downstairs also and dont really think it is necessary. We are getting some truss lighting and the lighted DJ booth for when it gets dark, but its really only going to be about two hours. I dont think its necessary for Uplighting... i may be wrong though..

I did it through my DJ...FM Entertainment. But there are lighting companys if you are not using a DJ or if your DJ doesn't provide it.

I don't have any pics here at work. If you check out my review, you might see some pics.

I'm a CLM Bride in the downstairs room and we are most definetly doing uplighting.

ETA: But my wedding is in Novemeber and doesnt start until 7:30 so it will definetly be dark.. If it was light half the wedding, we wouldnt do it cuz it wont be necessary.

Jackie - you know my answer lol - we are definitely doing it... but with your wedding since it is light during half of it, i might not bother... It is a hard call. you will reallly only notice it when it gets dark.. and honestly - by then everyone will be drunk so no one will notice! lol

you know what - if you guys have it in your budget... goi for it. it cant hurt, and if you can't see it that great during the day, it will be a nice surprice for everyone when it gets dark!
