I had only seen the TV commerical on Ch12 and that's what made me go see it. I originally thought it would be out my price range, but it wasn't

Depends what happens at Douglaston Manor tonight. They will have all vendors on hand (includded in their package), food tastings, etc...
And I want to ask if I can come in at some point in the near future to see the room set for a party/wedding for approx my size.
I'm concerned about the amount of floor will be free for my guests to dance. If he tells me he can't do that or gives some run around I will book with CLM, no doubt.
I need to see what kind of space they are giving me to work with. I know at CLM space is no concern cause my room fits 180... I will have 100-120 guests TOPS. I have to see how much they will work with me on seeing the room.

But I will make my decision soon.... maybe sooner than I think.

I think so too.

But I really love the layout & decor of the Douglaston Manor... it's just will my guests fit comfortable in that room? With room to dance?

That's my concern and I NEED to see it set before I book. If the BM at Douglaston tells me he can't do that anytime in the next month then I will just go with CLM cause I know room & my guests being comfortable will not be a concern.

Not to mention that Yacht arrival (weather permitting)

Thank you so much! I'm CLM too and haven't been there in awhile so it's nice to see pictures with everything all done. I don't even remember what it looked like before they did the renovations. I hope they finish the dome in the ceiling before my wedding.

You might want to call and ask.... cause they told me they are doing it Spring 09. They were not sure until about a month ago. I saw Nick last night and that's what he told me.

Great pics!!! Did you ask how many people can fit in that downstairs chapel? It seems sooo small. We are having a 200 person wedding and I am afraid not everyone wil fit!!

We are now considering an offsite ceremony because of the chapel being too small!

I didn't think to ask since it seemed it would be fine for my amount, but not everyone will be at the ceremony.
