CLM question.

CLM question.

I plan on getting a grooms cake to have extra at the reception. it is a surprise for FH, so it would be in addition to the wedding cake. The grooms cake is a 3 tiered cake so it is similar to a wedding cake (prob a little smaller). Does anyone know if they allow this? I plan on doing the cake cutting....then having them bring out the grooms cake after that. (but it will prob need to be wheeled out since it is large). Does anyone know if they charge a cutting fee for outside cakes? i am assuming they allow it but will need to double check. thanks

dont worry theres a cake cutting fee even if its their cake, its part of all the hidden charges

they seem really flexible so I highly doubt it will be a problem. email them or call them to verify on the charge but i doubt it.

I had a grooms cake at CLM as a surprise for DH we were not charged anything extra

I ordered the cake from Cakes By Mona an outside vendor. i highly recommend her.HTH

A way to help with that fee is to do the groom's cake at the rehearsal dinner. That's what i'm personally doing!!! I figure it'll really surprise him at the dinner - since he'd never expect it and those at the dinner are the closest to us and they'll 'get' the cake more than the whole wedding invite list :)
