CLM question

no.............

i just found out the 18% is actually taxed....
and the maitre d fee from what i was told gets split between a few people. Youi tip your maitre d seperate.....i heard the norm is $2- $5 a head

i am tipping Nick extra but i dont think i am giving extra to the wait taff it is just way too much...i thought the 18% was actually gratuity but it is the servers salery.....correct me if i am wrong but this is what i am pretty sure was told to me

i guess....my MOH got married there in Nov and didnt give anything extra to the waitresses...........just the maitre d and bridal attendant

so did i at first but if you look at the contract it is a service charge not listed as gratuity,....someone posted about this the other day and it turns out it is taxed

yes and he will have Matt helping ( who is AWESOME )so if you go for a meeting and want someone awesome that day ask for matt he is so on top of things!!!

The 18% is their tip. they do charge you the NYS tax also. The only person to tip is the bridal attendant.

ugh im sorry...i have to complain for a second...we are paying almost 30 dollars more a head for tax and gratuity, and we STILL have to pay tip??? as if this wedding isnt costing enough!!! I feel like you have to tip everyone and their mother!?!?! I'm sorry, call me cheap, but that just sounds outragious to me...i mean nothing against CLM, i love them and I know all halls are the same way, its just frustrating

Im not! lol im only tipping the Bridal attendant and maitre d nothing more when i booked i am pretty sure thay said 19% gratuity so i am leaving it at that....if anyone is worried i would talk to your maitre d.......i am leaving it alone i dont wanna be told to give extra lol

you're so right, FH is european so the whole tipping thing to him is crazy.
