First of all I have to say that we are really anxious to get married -- so much so that we are strongly considering a November 2008 wedding. I've waited a long time to find this man) However, I really don't want to elope -- I want a weddng.
Well, we've looked at just about every reception hall around -- some were better than others. I think that I'd be happy with a number of them. However, this morning -- for the first time -- another vision of my wedding began to emerge. I'm thinking of securing a large room in a restaurant -- large enough to seat 75 and a band (and possibly the ceremony). My style is simple yet sophisicated. My FH really wants it to have a nice water view. And since most of our friends are in Suffolk (Deer Park, Huntington, Northport, Dix Hills, Commack) I don't want to go all the way out to the Hamptons.
Final note: If I have the ceremony at the church then it will be in East Northport. I'd really want the reception to be somewhat nearby.
Do any of you have ideas?

There is also the PAvilion at Sunken Meadow. It is part of Lessings. So if you go to lessings.com it should be listed there. GL! I am sure you will find what you are looking for.

Fox Hollow? Larkfield Manor (east northport)? What church will you use in e.npt? I am getting married at St. Anthony's of Padua in East Northport. I love the inside of the church. :)

Re: Close to a Decision
Have you looked at the Miller Beach Surf Club in Miller Place? It is perfect for a smaller wedding, has a dance floor and a GORGEOUS view.
i second Miller BEach Surf Club- I went there and the view AMAZING- but I had too many people to book there- the price is so REASONABLE too-
Another Place thats on the water is the Riverview in Oakdale- dont knwo the pricing but its really pretty...
Oh and Lombardis on the Sound- I LOVED it there- but the price was too high and she suggested doing it THIS Nov and theprice was like $80 a plate!!! So you might get a GREAT deal there.....
Good Luck!
