Yay so after a whole lot of sh*t we are finally closing this Friday!!!! Any advice on moving in? I read new locks, new toilet seats? We want to recarpet the bedroom--any suggestions on good/cheap places for wall to wall carpeting? And we need to repaint--should we go to Home Depot for Benjamin Moore stuff? Thanks!

Home Depot doesn't carry Benjamin Moore paint, neither does Lowes, I learned that the hard way. You have to go to a paint store that carries Benjamin Moore. Also I got a really good price of carpeting from Lowes.

Yes Lowes has a company that installs the wall to wall carpet. They did a really nice job. Congrats on the house!

Please make sure if you use Lowes or Home Depot to install the carpeting that you get good padding and please watch where they put the seams!!
My step-father is a carpet mechanic and I cannot tell you how often he gets calls to fix what they have done. For example, HD was having a great sale on carpet and my SF's company couldn't beat it so he told my BF go and get the carpet from HD and I will install it. Well she didn't want to make him do it if he wasn't going to make anything off of the carpet (not that he would have charged her anyways) but she let HD put her carpet in and they put the seam right down the middle of the room. I came over about an hour after they were done, I just looked at her like are you kidding you signed off on this.
OK sorry off on my tangent, just supervise is all I am saying.
