Closing Friday?? or NEVER??

We were supposed to close friday on our co-op. The co-op managing agent is giving our morgage bank the run-around with some budget report that they need, and our laywer can't seem to get it either!

Our laywer called seller's lawyer ,and told them our bank would not give us the loan withouth this info, and the sellers lawyer is goign to see what he can do.
the seller is a morron! I had called her on sunday (for soemting not related, see below) and she had her lawyer call my lawyer and ask that all business went through lawyers at this point... what an A$$!
so now we don't know if we're closing friday or NEXT week, when we planned to move this weekend!!! ARGH!!!!

(I called her b/c I applied to be on a TLC show, and was accepted, but needed the selelrs OK to do it before she moved out... but now I cna't even ask her, so NO TLC for us, which SUCKS b/c they would have re-done a room for us for free!!!)

Yeah. Getting the board financials though is for your own benefit. Remember your bank is actually on YOUR SIDE in this regard. They won't give you money for a place that may go bankrupt tomorrow... and I am sure you wouldn't want that either.

As far as the seller saying 'deal with our attorney'.... don't take it personally. Sometimes thats preferred and what the lawyers are there for.

I'm sorry Sue! It'll happen soon! NY is a PITA when it comes to closings! It's not the way it is elsewhere (you could close on a house in 2 weeks down here in GA)
