Co worker is moving to Hawaii and..

I need ideas of what to get her as a going away gift. Some how I became in charge of organizing her party, I am not sure what to get her. The last resort is an amex gift cheque.

Any ideas. I believe that she is moving to Oahu.

Maybe a nice piece of jewelry. That way whenever she wears it she will think of all her friends/co-workers and her time here in NY!!

Whatever you get her, it'd be really cute to wrap it in a box with grass skirt material and attach a floral lai (they have really cute ones at Party City with silk flowers).

I checked for restaurants, since I have never been to Hawaii I wouldn't know a good restaurant from a bad one! I know that she is a Bloomindale's junkie, but of course there is none there and even if I got her a gift card to there, I am no where nor will I be anywhere near Roosevelt Field before the 19th. Anyone? Anyone who has been to Oahu have any ideas???

How about Long Island or NY stuff, like a calendar, postcards, books.

Wow she's lucky. I went to Oahu recently and I'd recommend Hoku's at the Kahala Mandarin Oriental Hotel, or you could get her a gift certificate to do the Dolphin Encounter program there.

But I think it's kind of weird to get her something in Hawaii-- get her something to remember NY by.
