Yes ladies, I'm admitting one of my deepest darkest secrets....I am one of those 'wierdo speed walking' people. I started it in high school when I was making fun of the people who did it and turned out I was pretty good! I was national champ in high school and came close to qualifying for olympic trials this year, but injuries squashed that.

I took off 10 min from 2006(2 hours 11 min) to 2007(2 hours and 1 min). When I crossed the 20K mark at the half marathon last year I was about 8min from qualifying for olympic trials but I wasn't pushing it at all and 8 minutes in a race that long isn't that hard to make up. Oh well....let's just pray I'm healthy enough to compete this year and join Celia on the starting line!!!!!!!!!!
