Coachman Limos (Long)

I wanted to share this with all of you. This weekend we went to Coachman Limos. My FIL made the appointment and when we walked in the guy who we made the appointment with didnt even remember us and looked at us like we were lost. The first thing he said to us 'So are you guys here to book or what?' We said we would like to see what kind of prices you have and what you can offer us. He asked us for our information about 3 times and he kept on getting the time we had to be at the church wrong. He gave a half decent price but he was unprofessional and rude. When I said to him, I would like to think about it, he said 'Well, whats the problem, this isnt good enough, Im giving you a good price!, We've been in business for 18 years' Right at that moment a call came in and the driver of the car says that he has a 14 passenger limo with only 3 people in it. Right after that happened I practically walked out. The bottom line is maybe they do have a good company but I was not impressed. Thanks, just needed to vent.

Coachman Limos (Long)

I found Coachman to be slighly unprofessional, too. My friend used them in '98 for her wedding, and she had nothing but good things to say. That's why she recommended them to me. But, I didn't like they way they spoke to us either, so we went with another limo company (Dynasty), who were nicer, but they ended up making mistakes, too.

Coachman Limos (Long)

We had a slight problem with Coachman also. My MIL went back and forth with wanting a limo to transport some family members to the wedding. My husband booked and canceled that limo with All Star several times, so 2 weeks before our wedding when she decided that she really wanted one, my husband wasn't about to call All Star again. Someone suggested Coachman, so he called them. After explaining what we wanted to the guy several times(BLACK limo for wedding GUESTS) we had him fax us a copy of the contract to make sure he had it right. Well, on the day of the wedding, a WHITE Coachman limo arrived at our guests house expecting to pick up a BRIDE!!!!!

Coachman Limos (Long)

Apparently you did not read my entire message thoroughly the first time around. We DO have a definite time for our ceremony and had to tell the representative 3 times what the correct time was, because he kept marking it down incorrectly. Little things like that are extremely unprofessional and didn't make me confident in their service. As far as your assumption that we were all talking at once, that is incorrect. While four of us were there, my fiancee did most of the talking, so there was no cause for confusion. I am happy that you had a very positive experience with Coachman, but please don't attack someone's right to post an opinion if it doesn't agree with yours. If that is how you are in the rest of your life, then it is YOU that I feel sorry for. In the future, please read the post and get your facts straight before posting sarcastic replies.

How did HAPPYBRIDE know so much

My question is how did happybride know so much about boosh78201's situation. No where in the post did it talk about everyone speaking at once or any other details like that.

Oh, and HAPPYBRIDE has only 1 post in the last 10 weeks.

Perhaps this is a rep from Coachman?

Hey HAPPY....

How on earth would a limo company be the vendor that makes your wedding day the best day in your whole life?? I think that's a slight over-statement, wouldn't you say????? It's just the transportation for cryin out loud!

Uh.... 'HappyBride'......????

In your profile it says that your wedding HAS NOT EVEN TAKEN PLACE YET as it WILL BE in 2003. Come on now... admit you are the vendor and we will have more respect for you. After this, I would think that you are just downright dishonest. Please post on the vendor board next time.

And by the way.....

I have heard quite a few negative things about Coachman from friends who live on Long Island and have recently been married. After all the 'screw ups' and the 'oops' I have heard about, I would certainly not even consider using them.

More on Coachman

Hey there, Well, maybe Coachman is not a bad service afterall. Today, my fiancee received a call from Coachman and the representative mentioned that I had posted a derogatory message on this website. This makes me believe that 'HappyBride' was a company representative. However, she was very apologetic and understanding and wants to speak with us again, and for us to forget that the weekend meeting happened. What do you guys think? Should I give them the benefit of the doubt, or should I just forget them and move on? The fact that the rep called and recognized that we were treated poorly, makes me want to give them a second shot. Opinions? I can really use them. Thanks

I would never use them just because of this

I cannot believe they posted here. LIWeddings should look into this situation. Just so everyone knows, I heard that only vendors that advertise can post on the vendor boards. So not all of the vendors have access. Coachman is really bad to resort to this.

Boosh...

Do you really want to go with a company that treats you badly and then just wants you to 'forget about it'? I certainly would not. It sounds to me that they run a pretty sloppy shop and I would stay a thousand miles away.

They called because you posted...

If you hadn't posted do you really think they would have called you to apologize? That's what they get for having poor service. Everyone should post when they have a negative experience. Oftentimes,Brides get taken for a ride (no pun) and taken advantage of by vendors who think you'll put up with whatever they decide to give you. I would tell them no thanks, once is enough and MOVE ON!!!! All the best luck to you in your planning.

Thank you everyone!

I just want to thank everyone who has posted in support of me. I just wanted to let everyone know that my fiancee and I have decided not to go with Coachman. Although, they did apologize it would just be too awkward after everything that has happened. Thank you again.

There is another way to look at it: I would imagine they would be very careful and give you superb service because they know you good ruin their reputation. If I were you, I would at least give them the chance to win your business--get the quotes you need and see how they are when you meet with them again. If their prices are competitive and they treat you 100 times better, it might be worth it. Power of word of mouth, is very strong! And they obviously understand this, as many other vendors do not.

Squeaky Wheel Syndrome....

is apparent here. Every customer should get the same courteous treatment, not just the one that had to deal with a cranky salesperson then complained about it. They are just trying to make this go away. However, money does talk, so if they offer you your price I think they will probably make good on their service in fear of getting another bad review.

Boosh...

I am a real bride, and I used Coachman for my wedding in February. Maybe I just hit them on a good day, but I had no problems with them, they were on time with the correct car, and the driver was a sweetheart. If you have any questions, you can ask away at [email protected]. IMO there are soooo many limo companies to choose from, so if you do not have a good feeling about them shop around Good luck

Thanks Misha for showing me another way to look at things. Unfortuantely, as I said before, with all that has gone on, I think it is best that we take our business elsewhere, because, after all, as someone pointed out, they are not the only show in town. Also, since I know that they monitor this site and I believe posted earlier, I am now very skeptical of anyone endorsing their service. Misha, while I believe you are a real bride, based on my situation earlier this morning, I think you can understand why I would fully trust your opinion. I just want our day to be perfect and to get the best and most efficient service out there. Thanks again for your guidance.

I totally understand. You have to do what you are comfortable with and like another bride said, there are so many companies out there, it should not be hard to find one you do like. I was simply pointing out that maybe now that you drove a nail in them--they would go out of their way to appease you. Just for the record, I am not going to use them either b/c of your post and appreciate your pointing the situation out. Yikes, I have less than 4 weeks left and haven't even booked my limo yet!!!!

What's that suppose to mean 'happy bride' - take a look in the mirror! Let it rest! Coachman lost business and that's that!
