Cocktail Engagement Party

My Fiance and I love the idea of having a cocktail party for our engagement celebration....we would like drinks, stations of food and some passed food uwould be ideal for us.

Any ideas of some reasonably priced places on Long Island that could accomodate 100 people?

i heard the metropolitan does a nice CH party!

a past bride used them i think she was on 09 bride

I am doing that exact thing for my engagement party and we are having it at The Woodlands in Woodbury!

Post office Cafe in Babylon does it--they have a private room !!!! They do a whole cocktail party its awesome!

This is exactly what we're doing for our 'rehearsal dinner'. We won't be rehearsing or having dinner but who could pass up the opportunity to eat wings and potatoe skins with your best friends?!

For the record, the menu includes many more formal/refined items. We're just not a very formal/refined couple.

Rare 650 probably does it. my shower was there. They have an upstairs room overlooking the wine celler (or the equivalent since its not in the basement)

we did it in my backyard in a tent... it was cocktail attire.. passed hordevres, buffet style, lots of booze and we got alive musician.. everyone was obsessed.. pics in album
