I am wondering if I can do my cocktail hour outside at the beginning of May. I have not booked my hall yet but I am working on that and I am looking into early to middle of May 05. I know it all depends on the weather but I really want an outside cocktail hour and some people have told me that at night it might be too cold.

Re: Cocktail hour!
The milleridge carriage house has the coctail hour outside up untill the middle of November. Not sure when they start. They so it as long as the weather is above 65 degrees & they decide an hour before & will have it in the reception room if its cold or raining.

Re: Cocktail hour!
I think may will be ok to have an outdoor cocktail hour! The best cocktail hour I have ever been to was at Westbury Manor! It was outdoors.

We are supposed to have our cocktail hour outdoors at Fox Hollow. It'll be the end of May. I'm hoping we can take advantage of the space cuz I love it.

Our cocktail hour is planned for outside on May 1st. Keeping my fingers crossed for cooperative weather.

Re: Cocktail hour!
My cocktail hour is scheduled to be outside...however, that will be 100% decided on the morning of the wedding by the hall. From my understanding they will call me in the morning letting me know if the weather is absoultely perfect for them to be able to do a cocktail hour outside- cannot be too windy at all. So either way ur taking a chance, but if u decided to do it...make sure there's a backup plan if the forecast isn't the best. My hall is like that, so is Fox Hollow and Westbury Manor that I'm aware of...I'm sure many halls have backup plans...

Re: Cocktail hour!
My sisters wedding was May 4th and they took all of their pictures in the gardens and then were asked if they wanted the coctail hour outside it was a little tiny bit chilly out but they set up tables outside as well as inside and the food inside. Most of the smokers enjoyed sitting outside and being able to smoke and the older people were inside. It worked out really nice.
