Re: cocktail hour
We had made our ceremony an hour earlier so that we can attend the CH, we both felt it was important for us to be there, we want to spend as much time with our family and friends as we can, plus the food is great!!! I want all my pics done before hopefully, if I have to leave for a few minutes it wont be so bad. But I want to enjoy the whole time, we have spent enough, I want to enjoy it!

Re: cocktail hour
We did....best decision we made though it was always our plan. I've never heard of a bride that regretted doing it, but I've read many reviews of brides that wish they did after the fact. It's not even about missing the food, you can always get the food brought to you in the bridal suite. For us it was more about seeing, talking to and thanking our guests and just enjoying EVERY MOMENT of our wedding. Got ALOT of the hellos out of the way, because I knew once the reception started I did not want to leave the dance floor and I didn't. Had the best time that way.

Re: cocktail hour
yes!
My reception hall makes a plate of cocktail hour food for us , after the ceremony we can go up to the bridal suite, echange gifts , eat for 10 min, come down and make the rounds so at the reception we can dance !
All my pictures will be done before the ceremony , I don't want to miss a second of my wedding !

Re: cocktail hour
I said yes, but reality is we'll probably only be able to go to the last 20 mins or so b/c we're taking pictures after the ceremony. CH is one of my favorite parts of a wedding too, but I was absolutely adamant about FH and I not seeing each other until I walk down the aisle... that is more important to me than being at CH.

Re: cocktail hour
Originally we were not. FH did not want to see me until I walked down the aisle. AFter speaking with our photographer we decided to take pics before hand and enjoy our cocktail hour with our family & friends.

Re: cocktail hour
I REALLY hope we could attend. We have an extended cocktail hour, so I think we can make at least a half hour of it. That should bang out about 30-40 guest hellos lol
