I'd like to.. but I guess it depends on how things are scheduled. FH doesn't want to see me before the ceremony so that rules out pre-wedding photo taking... who knows.

I always liked the idea of a grand entrance for the bride and groom at the reception, so orginally we were going to skip CH. But now we have such a long time between church and CH so we can get all our pictures done. We want to party during the reception, so we decided to go to CH to get our hellos done with.
I'm planning to attend the cocktail hour. I'm hoping to get through most of my hellos there so I can enjoy the reception. I also want to try all the food!
i am not missing the cocktail hour! the food is way too good and i'd rather get my meeting and greeting over with then instead of during the reception.
Yep. Taking pics before and will take a few while they are changing the ceremony location into the CH. Only willing to miss the first 15 minutes if necessary. Nothing more.
ummm miss the mashed potato bar?? No way!!Those pictures will be done before the CH and I will be there saying all the hello's and eating the mashed goodness of the potato's!!!
We scheduled the church early enough so we would have plenty of time to take pics before hand. plus we are taking pics at WM. I am not paying over $15k to miss my CH LOL!!!
i really want to attend my CH but we have to take some pictures then because we are not going to see each other before hand. Fh really wants to attend the ch. i mean we will see. i would like to go the ch and get the hellos done with so that i can spend the rest of the time enjoying the reception!
we are attending our CH. we plan on taking pictures before the ceremony to get it all out of the way. i'm not missing a second of my wedding...2 years of planning and saving money will NOT be wasted!
i would love to be at my cocktail hour I will try to speak to the photographer to see if we can arrange something so that we don't miss it!
I will definitely be eating the CH food, the only question is whether I want to do it in the bridal sweet or with my guest. My only concern with eating with the guest is that I may not really get a chance to enjoy my food. And like Christine said, I really want a grand entrance at the reception because I have surprise that I'd like to do. At this point I'm leaning towards eating CH food in private with just the parents and bridal party in the bridal sweet. It will be the last 'down time' we'll have before all the partying.
We have such a gap between church and reception we are ABSOLUTELY attending the CH. We're paying for everyone else to enjoy it, so why shouldn't we enjoy the food? We may not attend the whole thing, but I do want to attend about 30 minutes or so.
I agree we will be doing the same. Plus, the fact that we have 4 hours between the church and cocktail hour, we have no excuse not to go! I'm picture crazy but I promised FH that we would be done by the time cocktail hour starts so he can have a beer lol.
I want to, and we will probably be doing photos before hand. I have been told it works out to go, you can start to greet guests and have more time to spend with people (plus I really really like the food)
