I'm having an awesome cocktail hour and I've been debating back and forth whether or not to come out and enjoy the cocktail hour with everyone else. What do you think?

We are doing our pictures before we get married so we can enjoy every minute of the party. We paid enough for it, why not!!!

We are taking our pics prior, but the Mator-D requested we go to the Bridal Suite for the first 30 minutes to relax, use the restroom, lipstick etc
and then go downstairs for the second half

We went to the CH and said hello to people to take away from the time during the reception.
i say go!
We didn't eat there, however our bridal attendant got a little bit of everything and had it in the bridal suite for me and the dh 15 minutes before the reception started so we ate and enjoyed it alone for a few minutes before the craziness. definitely one of my favorite parts of the day where we were alone as husband and wife for a few minutes and were able to let it all sink in.

Also they never bring ALL of the food into the bridal suite for the BP when you first get there.. only a selection, so if you choose to hang out in there, make sure you give them a list of requests so you do get to enjoy the food you want in the suite with the BP!

THIS!!! I want to say my hellos at ch so that come reception I can party and not waste my whole party going around saying hi and thanks for coming.

YES!!!!! Cocktail hours are often the BEST part of the wedding and I don't want to miss it!! We will take 15 minutes to be by ourselves to start, and then probably tuck ourselves away for the last 15 minutes so we can check out the ballroom and such before everyone goes in....but I wouldn't miss it for the world!

We're going! We're doing pictures before so that our BP and families can enjoy CH. We'll have a min in the bridal suite and then we want to go out and start greeting people and eat some of the awesome food.

We are taking pics before hand but Our Mator D told us to go up to our bridal suite relax go to the bathroom then come down and meet and greet!!!!

thanks i feel much better that i'm not the only one that wants to enjoy the CH. i have time between the ceremony and reception so pictures would be taken during that time.

We are going to our CH I wouldn't miss it for the world. We are taking our pictures before our mass. Plan on saying hello to everyone during CH so we can party during our reception.

We are doing a reveal beforehand so we will be attending cocktail hr. That's where the best food is! LOL

Yes! I was in the car the other day with a friend of mine who got married last year, and she made some offhand comment about how she did her pictures during cocktail hour because it wasn't proper for the bridal party to be at the CH.
My fiancee and I just laughed. There's no way we'll be missing a second of our party!

YES! by all means! We are going to be there for most of it. I just want to try and eat something in the beginning of it, so maybe they can bring something up to us in the bridal suite and then we'll come down to say hi

My personal opinion is go to your cocktail hour that day is going to go so quick and you spent enough time and money into it not to fully enjoy every aspect of it. plus you can greet your guests and save you time at the reception

If you are able to attend I say go for it! You can just go for partial of it, so you get to eat some of the delish food and you'll also be able to get in some of those hello's so you don't have to spend the whole reception doing it.
