Re: Cocktail hour centerpieces?
I just ordered small pots of Mums for the CH. I am having a fall theme so I thought it would be pretty and it's inexpensive.

I just did votive candles, it was silly to spend all that money on a table that people will be at for only 1 hour.

Re: Cocktail hour centerpiece pics?
some halls give a lil flower or candle!
but i got round candles w/ sowflakes etched in them. I didnt see the sense in spending the $$ but i got them for 50-75% off so how do i say no?!

our hall provided them for us....it's an hour...i was NOT decorating that...plus our CH room was this half inside/half outside room...flowers were planted everywhere growing and making it beautiful.
Holy Cr@p!!!!! Do we have to do those too???!!! Does it ever stop? Money! Money! Money!

If the weather's nice, my cocktail hour may be outside on the beach deck. Or it may have floor to ceiling views of the beach. Either way, I just wanted to bring the beach theme into the room a bit with a few tables having these on them:
We are having a gerber daisy floating in a round bowl.

You could also do those floating candles in your wedding colors ...that would look very nice...I wouldnt go too overboard ...most people will not be sitting down
